Running EU in a window

Does anybody know if it is possible to run EU in a window. This is the kind of game I would like to be able to run while I do other things. Pausing the game while I go off an read mail etc. I have not had much luck alt-tabing out of it and being able to consistently come back to the game. I'm running under Win 2k.

to my knowledge, this application does not use windows. as well, alt-tab in w2k crashes (personal experience)

I've only used Alt-Tab under Win2K (SP1, DirectX 8.0a)
a couple of times, but it worked fine for me.

I've done this in Win 2K without any problems.

I realize now I ran into this when I atl-tab out of the set-up screen which is a bug 1.09 fixes. I do know though that if I leave it in the background overnight, my machine will be frozen in the morning (this is win 2k). I also run the seti@home screen saver so I'm not sure if it some weird interaction.
