I've built 3 domes, each with a Sanatorium, covering all 7 treatments for colonists. I put in a gym, a grocery, and a diner. But I'm having trouble keeping the grocery and diner staffed. The colonists I assign to them tend to leave after a short while. I'm beginning to think that perhaps for a Sanatorium dome, a grocery and/or diner isn't really necessary. What do you think?

The sanatorium itself isn't really worth it, in my opinion. While it does cure a decent number of flaws, it doesn't handle the big one. The rest are a little annoying, but I'd rather nearly any other spire instead. It just doesn't provide enough benefit to be worthwhile considering the opportunity cost.

It sounds like that's a dome filter issue, do you have e.g. a university dome with a thumbs up for non-specialized?

For me, grocery/diner/park is a must in every dome. Keeping the morale up gives them better work performance which lets them graduate from the sanatorium faster. (also holy cow three sanatoriums! I'm a martian miser, I just build one and have it treat the most common flaws, switching to the next most common when one is eradicated.)

I really wish the Sanatorium would treat all the flaws instead of me having to micro them for each dome. It's really irritating.

Huh. What I do is have two domes with two Sanatoriums.

I thumb up the flaws that can be cured by the Sanatoriums in those domes, then I thumb down those same flaws in all the others. Providing my colonists with a means of transport and a place to live in the sanatorium domes, it mean that all of them travel there to be cured automatically. I'm not using all that much micro.

Vacuum Dome treats all really harmful flaws. Faster than Sanatorium, too. But you get get Sanatorium+ mod in workshop that does the same (except Renegade which isn't flaw per se)

for me, using the sanatoriums is just about me trying to build the most perfect martian colony (or some BS like that).

I run into problems tho where my colonists graduate from the sanitoriums and stay in the damned domes, taking up housing space needed to cure other ppl.

Also, i think colonists are limited as to how many traits total they can have, so if u have gurus and project morpheus etc, you might be missing out on perks because of the presence of flaws. unless i'm wrong and they are calculated separately...
