When I open a new colony, there is no problem, but when I want to save and continue again, the game does not start, there are tips and screen, there is a sound, but the colony does not start, it moves with the mouse, my game does not start
This error appeared with the last update of steam, I am not using any modsHas this ever worked for you or it has always been like this?
Which edition of the game is this? Steam, Epic, something else?
Any mods in use?
I did what you said, but the error did not improve, the screen remains half-way, when I move the mouse, the building sounds, but the screen does not turn onNot sure how or why that would cause this!
Please uninstall the game in the Steam client, and delete the folders:
C:/users/{UserName}/documents/Paradox Interactive/Surviving the Aftermath/ (Move any valued save games elsewhere first of course!)
C:/users/{UserName}/AppData/LocalLow/IceFlake Studios/
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.
Then install the game again and try it.
All the best!
I tried but it still didn't work what should I do now is there a way to get the old updateWhat if you make a new Windows user and log into Windows as that, and install the game there? Any different?
i can't find another computer but i will ask my friendsYou mean to revert to an older game version? I'm afraid IceFlake have not made them available.
But this will not be a bug in the current game version or everyone would get it.
Could you please attach here your output log and settings file? They can be found in:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Iceflake Studios\Surviving the Aftermath\player.log
Documents\Paradox Interactive\Surviving the Aftermath\settings.ini
AND DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
THEN can you please test the game on any other computer you might have access to?
dude i just bought 2 dlc and things got worse this time save is making no progress at allWe see crashes in another game MarsSteam.exe in there, but none in this game. In fact I see no reason for this problem in any of those files!
Let me know if it works on your friend's machine. If it does can I please get a dxdiag and player.log from there too, for comparison. Thanks.
What if you manage your DLCs in the steam libary and turn of the bought DLCs (-for now) ?dude i just bought 2 dlc and things got worse this time save is making no progress at all
