Seems every now and than somehow a game just won't load up anymore. It'll begin loading and just crash midway through the cycle. It's really getting frustrating, both autosaves suffer from the same problem. Any ideas what's causing this thing?

I've had that occur to me aswell. For me they are occuring during hands off game testing as well as hands on testing. However, I have attributed it to my own tinkerings, rather than EEP 1.42. Have you tried downloading the 1.42a patch? It may help in your case if you havn't been tinkering. I have the patch but it was no help for me or my precious games, but as I said, I tinkered a bit.
Waffen8888, even if you play 1.4.2a the error in your file is the one that got fix from 1.4.2, double province listing of Chinese provinces. Did you start the game under 1.4.2?
No, didn't. I remember I had problems at first running EEp, so I just deleted absolutely everything and than reinstalled it all. This game and the ones I played before that had the same problems were all under the lastest version of EEP. And if for some off hand chance I did, which I don't see how, is there anyway to fix this?

I can fix this save, but it seems you'll have to reinstall EEP otherwise my guess is you will get the same problem again.
Ahh, just replied to you. yeah evidently I did have 1.42 and not 1.42A. I could have sworn I had the most recent one though, already reinstalled.
Yeah, well I do have the most recent one, 1.42a, clean installed, and I'm getting this problem too. 2 games now as Gelre, both times a crash at some point, then I'm screwed, can't load anything. As far as I'm concerned, this newest version of the EEP stinks...
Hmm, might be. But before I accept that conclusion could you send a save to me? Address sent as PM. I'll check if you have the double province listings from 1.4.2.
EDIT: I saw you don't accept PM:s. You should check the save for ownership of provinces 1606, 1608 (CHI and CHG) and 645 and 646 (CHI and MCH).
I checked for the duplicates but there were none. I don't know what's causing it. It never happened to me with any previous EEP versions. Maybe I'll try another game with a different country...
