I have a ever growing number of saved games, but no apparent way to erase them. Do I need worry about this massive list? Is there a point at them they self erase the oldest? Please advise

Go out into My Computer, find the place that EU is located, go into Scenarios, then save games, and then delete whatever save games you dont want
There isn't any way to delete game files within the game itself. Maybe this feature should be added if the programmers ever get the time.
