hi,

i move back to v1.0 cos 1.1 crashes some times. so ill try v1.0

what adjustments are needed to the savegamefiles, if i move back to v1.0?

it throw an error in a line with
reinforcement = 0.100
what do i have to do with this? (remove?)

THat is not supported, sorry, and you think there would be less problems with 1.0 then with 1.1.

Why not try and solve the problem, you say it crashes sometimes, are these random crashes or do they happen at specific times or events or when performing specific actions.
 
I would have tried 1.0.

it keeps crashing on and on. i cant say when, exactly.

i try to explain:
once, I (as germany) asked UK to join the axis, if they agreed, *crash*
i tried the same to the use *agreed* crash. is this unsupported behaviour?

the last thing (a few minutes ago) ill try to pose some ships at the Uk-coast, to invade. if i select the fleet *crash* is says something about storage (wired ram adresses?) and the process *written* could not have been executed (or so).

hoi2 is much fun, but this crashes getting on my nerves.

I played around with the savegame-files (just little adujstments, for improval), but that sould not be the reason, cos i can select those ships to send them there, but somewhen there it crashes.

I offer to send the used savegame (about 600kb zipped).

the problem, hoi2 needs a lot of startuptime, so i get tired trying different orders to my unit, or different diplomatics.

Do not edit files and try a new game with 1.1, also if you get an error please write that error here.

Okay let's try some standard things.
1) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
2) Set the color depth to 16BIT
3) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
4) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-3.


Please run a DirectX Diagnostic:
Start menu –Run - then type Dxdiag, then select each tab across the top of the window, and run the tests on each tab. Then select “Save All Information” button in the lower right of the window. This will bring up a dialog box to allow you to select a name for the file where the information will be saved. You can save it right on the desktop as this will make it easy to find. Then copy the contents of that file from the start to the heading that says “DirectX components” then paste what you have copied into a post in this thread.
 
It is easier to track stuff if it is in one place. PMs cannot contain much info.
 
if you like the savegame? i tried it 2 more times. always the same.

its pretty easy to reproduce. but this times i was not able to see the errormsg, cos it somehow stuck *beind* the game. could not switch apps, and had to reset my pc.

Since this is not a bug reporting forum, we do not deal with that here.
It is my understanding that you will most likely get an responce from Quality Assurance rep.

However if this is a game that you started under 1.1 or have played under 1.1 and are trying to load under 1.0, then it is not a bug since the game is not designed to do this.

i instlled the game, then the patch, then i started it the first time.
since that crash, i tried to deinstall (did not work properyl), then i reinstalled it, tried to load the savegame, startet this thread, installed the patch again, played (still crashed) and then reportet the bug via email.

i hope ill get some response soon! thank you.

Just the one that is always given until it is announced.
