SAVING ERROR for HOW/AOD

Hi, I just bought Arsenal of Democracy on steam but every time I try to save a game I get an error. It says......
Critical Error
Couldnt open file.scenario\save games\saved game name"
Then it gives me the option to Abort Retry or Ignore and if i do anything but ignore the game crashes.
As you well know you can't play any HOW game without saving so can you assist me please?

Upgrade to 1,6 beta that should fix it (and a lot more).

Else go to \scenarios\ and create a folder called "save games"

I tried to find the file location for AOD so I could create a save file but I could not find any file locations. I'm not very computer savy but could it be that since I downloaded it off Steam I am unable to locate the file? Ill try to find the 1.6 beta I guess

Thanks for the links pier4r, it was helpful. But now that I have been playing a bit I have noticed many more issues but I am going to scour the forums to try to resolve those issues that have probably already been addressed.
