What DirectX version do you have?
Do you have the latest Video drivers?

Minimum specs require DirectX 8.1.

Do you need to adjust the physical monitor settings?
You know how you can make the screen bigger or change the shape by adjusting the buttons on the monitor?

I have HOI set to 1024x768 and my screen size set the same, the editor opens in a window and I can see the whole thing.
So some thing is strange here. Try these settings and see if they make a difference. The other thing is you must have your color depth set to 16 bit.

What do you have your game Res set to?

Great news, Lord Asher how about trying this, and let us know if that solves it for you as well.

Great news, We have a new fix to file away.

Happy editting guys!

Please give us complete specs on your system.
Do update your audio and video drivers.
Also make sure your operating system is up to date.
Rename your AVi folder to AVI_back. This may help with your exiting game problems.

Did you try the updates and changes I suggested?

Are you useing 1.03b?
Have you tried the suggestions listed above?

So you have switched to use the small fonts?

I that case I will need full system specs please.

Somewhat depends on your operating system and video card.

In general Right-click on the main desk top. A popup menu will appear. Select properties then settings then advanced then general then there should be something that mentions fonts size. Make sure it is set to small.

Can you list your full system specs please.

Upgrade to 1.03b and see if the problem persists.

Have you updated your Video drivers to the latest.

FIND DRIVER VERSION:
Right-click on desktop, select properties from the menu, Select "Display settings" tab, select advanced button.

Your system may differ slightly here depending on the video driver installed. On my system it is the following.

Select the "Adapter tab" then select "properties" button, then "drivers" tab.

Should be listed on this screen.

DOWNLOAD NEW DRIVER:

To get the latest driver, go to the company web site that makes your video card. Search the site for "driver download", "support", something like that. There should be a list or selection there by product. Find your card and look to see if there is a newer version for your driver. Download it and install if there is.
