I don't have the knowledge or time to actually write a scenario, but I think it would be interesting to have a scenario which assumes the marriage of Ferdinand and Isabella did not happen. Spain would be divided into two parts -- Aragon and Castille [plus the part belonging to Grenada, of course].

This would, of course, be a great deal of work, as someone would have to allocate leaders between Aragon and Castille as well as figure out who would end up with Spain's European possessions. I think, however, it would be a real interesting scenario.

Already have done so. In fact, all my IGC games run that way, although I assume that the marriage is in place (thus Aragon and Castilla-Leon are allied and RMed to each other, and Aragon is Castilla's vassal). Dividing the European possessions isn't hard, as Aragon gets all the Mediterranean possessions, plus Aragon, Gerona, Roussillon, Catalonia, and Valencia in Iberia proper. In every game have run or played, Spain eventually unites, although I am trying to get a good start with Portugal whereby I declare war on Castilla on 1 January 1492, sink Columbus, and divide southern Spain with Granada. I've actually had some success with this, gaining Estremadura and Toledo, leaving Castilla in a ruined state and unlikely to annex a larger Aragon. :D

the second byzantise saga wich a lot of peoples (including me:D) works on will begin before spain united.
