Scenario Modding Question

Hi,

I am, for my own amusement, thinking of creating a 1618 FTG-AGCEEP Scenario by modifying the files of the 1648 scenario.

My question:

In the Event History section of the 1648_GlobalData file do I need to delete all of the events firing between 1 Jan 1618 and 30 Dec 1647?

Any event listed in the history section will never fire again, so yes.

So the best thing would be to use the corresponding file for 1520 with a simple file name change?

Well, that's problematic too, since some events rely on previous events. What I would do is use a file comparison tool like WinMerge to compare the files from the two scenarios; then all events that are present only in the 1648 scenario need to be checked, and you can safely ignore all others.
