Scenario not readable?

Wow that is strange, did you edit any files?

When you loaded the autosave did it have the same problem?
The one that you loaded, if you load it again does it always crash at the same point?
Did it have the flags messed up as well?

Not understanding as you seem to contradict yourself here.
You say the flags only show up for 36 scenario, then say the other scenarios play fine. So the flags do not show up for the other scenarios but they play fine anyway??

Many possible causes for a corrupted save. Could be Hardware, other software, even a power fluctuation.
