Ever since i bought myself a new Pc ,my newly installed EUII has a rather annoying problem.Whejn i play EUII ,every 15 to 20 seconds my screen flickers somewhat ,it goes black for a fraction of a second and gets back to normal. It's not that its making playing the game impossible ,but its still a nusiance.

O think i know why though. My new 19" screen comes at 85hz ,while a normal screen is afaik at 75hz. (refreshrate)
Is there anyway to force EUII to 85hz ,if not a way to force the windows setting's to 75hz if that would help?

I think a common cause of this is having something odd running in the background (including EU2's own AVI player). Maybe make sure nothing else is running and the AVI directory is deleted/renamed, then see what happens...

my copy of EU2 just did this today! weird that you ran into that today too.

i ran spybot to remove any spyware that may have been running in the background, rebooted, and everything worked fine since.

maybe the planets were in some weird alignment today, flemishduck :D

heh ,so i downloaded a anti-adware program (had to install GAIN (yuk) because of some nessecary program i needed) ,and whta ta ya know ,my screen stoped flickering after having cleaned out the dirt.

Planets can have cruel alignments......

Interesting, do you both have open connections to the internet, or do you have to activate some program like a dialer in order to connect?
