The camera freezes when i zoom in over the Mexico/ Cuba/ South America region (Pictured area going up and down). I can repeat this consistently. It doesn't happen when the map is covered. I can click on things and hear a sound effect, but nothing happens on screen. Some buttons work on the screen at the time of freezing, but no new buttons can be shown on screen. (for an example, when i zoom in when selecting a nation to play, the back button works, and the nation recommendation makes a sound, but the screen doesn't move.)

I got the game recently and i don't know if this is patch dependent or not. Only reason this is getting annoying is because i was doing a colonizing the new world run with England and wanted to fight the natives living there, but when i zoom a little too much, the screen freezes and I have to go to the last auto-save. The game doesn't say there was a problem or show any crash logs. I tried a complete re-install and that didn't work. Updated drivers to newest available drivers. I attached the system_interface.log file because that is the only file with something of note, but i don't know what it means other than there is something that is not loading at a specified location.

This will be the bug in the new world city graphics. Disable city sprawl in the game's settings.

Sorry for that problem!

I am wodering if this bug will ever be fixed. I like to play with city sprawl enabled it makes the game feel more alive. But to watch out not to zoom in on mexico is pretty annoying.

The fact that the bug still exists and hasn't been fixed is crazy. 2yrs and still no fix, someone please fix this.

So far as is known this only happens on integrated AMD video systems. Since they are not supported hardware for this game, I doubt the devs will spend any time or effort to investigate and work around it, I am sorry.
