I downloaded the GoT mod using the installer and everything appeared to work correctly; it installed and the game started. However, the mod has apparently reset my screen resolution to 1280x1024 (60Hz refresh rate), making everything on-screen appear oddly stretched.

I tried resetting the screen resolution using the 'Options' button (both from the title screen and from the in-game Options button) to my native resolution (1920x1080). This gave me a message which said that I needed to restart the game for the changes to take effect. Each time I've hit 'apply' and restarted, the game has started up at 1280x1024 and the whole process turns into a loop.

I thought that perhaps the GoT mod was simply not set up for my screen and decided to chalk it up to experience, but now even when the mod isn't running, my game starts at the wrong resolution and won't reset to the correct one. As the installer did all the installation for me I don't know where to find the mod to delete it, and it isn't in any of the places I'd think logically to look (the 'mod' folder, for example).

Can anyone offer any advice as to how to get the GoT mod to accept my screen resolution changes and stop interfering with my screen resolution in non-GoT games (preferably) or how to uninstall the GoT mod and get my non-GoT game back to normal (less preferably)?

I am playing via Steam.

Thanks in advance!

Go to My Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod and delete A Game of Thrones folder and the A Game of Thrones.mod file.

Then redownload the installer and install again. In the launcher, make sure only A Game of Thrones is checked and if you continue to have problems with the resolution just edit settings.ini in the Crusader Kings II folder. There you can set the resolution and in your case it should be x=1980 and y=1080. Save the file and exit the window. And if you want you can right click on the settings file and press Properties there you can make the file read-only. Hope that helps.
