I tried to make some screenshots in game, yet all I got was black BMPs over 3 MB big. I actually did one few days ago and which I forgot about, I checked it - black as well.

Turn off anti aliasing in your graphic card's control panel. Fraps is one of the few programs able to take screenshots while anti aliasing is on.
I'm not graphics pro, but I checked and antialiasing is already turned off.

Did you make sure it's turned off in the drivers too? If you're on an nVidia card, make sure that in the nVidia Control panel that it is not set to force AA on, make sure it's on "Application Controlled".
