In the EU IV new DLC thread we started to talk about season pass. Would it be something you guys could think about? I buy every DLC coming out and there is a lot of people doing so. I would not mind paying for it in advance and getting it later (well basically I would not mind to pay for a season pass) and I know there is probably a lot of old Paradox gamers who would do the same. It would also help with the current DLC mess, at the end of each season you could release a pack. Eventually keep fantasy DLC out of it (i.e. Sunset Invasion like).

Also keep the good work. Though release quality decreased a bit, we are back to the good old Paradox ;).

As they don't know how many DLCs there will be, pricing a season pass would be impossible - PDS could end up grossly overcharging or undercharging.

Sure but that has nothing to do with how many they release over a game's life, and what their total value might end up being. CK2 is still getting new content over 2.5 years from release, and may well go for 1.5 years more at least, IIRC. If they'd sold a season pass at release date, they weren't to know it was going to be as successful as it was and is. I imagine that DLC and pricing decisions are being made as time goes by; I don't think the sit down and plan 4 years of DLC releases in advance.

Might cause pressure to release content not up to quality standards just to get something out. Would probably mean more administration work for Paradox. Will (100% certain) cause endless forum threads complaining (regardless of actual value for money ratio).

So it just feel like a bad idea.
