Sengoku is now released on Steam and if you order today you will get a 20% discount.

Go here to view the offer: http://store.steampowered.com/

Sengoku is created by the development team that created the Europa Universalis series, the Hearts of Iron Series and the Victoria series.

In this deep character driven strategy game, you play as the head of an illustrious family. War has broken out, the authority has collapsed and it is every man for himself in the provinces. Honour and duty vie with survival in the delicate dance of power, conquest and betrayal as you attempt to unite the land of the Rising Sun under your iron fist.

Use your military might, your smooth talking tongue, and your guile to increase your power. Send your powerful samurai armies into battle against your enemies, and unleash shadowy Ninja clans under the cover of darkness to assassinate your rivals!
Watch your enemies fall like cherry blossoms in the early dawn of spring.

It launched at Steam today with that special deal. Its not been priced higher om Steam before.

Gamersgate had 20% off in their preorder deal last week.

The buggy 20% off which received no notice to those who signed up for it on facebook. Unfortunately, hopefully better luck next time. It just sucks away the incentive of pre-ordering, especially on Gamersgate.

Bought Sengoku 2 weeks ago preorder on Gamersgate and i paid full price but i dont mind paying full price for a good game just wondering why theres offers so close after launch :/

It´s 24€ here, but I couldn´t resist and bought it anyway ;)

Yes, a good deal! We had to wait a couple of days more but 6€ less. Not bad.

Now, let me delve into the game and see what I can get of it.

Enjoy the gaming! :ninja:

I don't think Steam ever has any included any manuals (to any game or at least from what I've bought).

Yes they do - loads of my Steam games have manuals. Sometimes you can access them within the Steam library itself, other times you have to route around for the PDF file yourself in the application files, but it's usually one or the other. Very few games would release without any manual.

The pre-order deal last week at Gamersgate (where I got it from) was to include a copy of HOI3 which I already own. Price was still $30. No discount.

I guess that just means to never buy at release for full price because you never know when the price might drop. It used to take at least a couple of months but I guess 2 days is ok nowadays as well.

Who approved this deal? Who will ever not wait for deals from now on?

Yeah, I just bought it on Steam and the discount was certainly a catalyst for me buying but it is kind of unfortunate for those who pre-ordered!

It was 20% off for 1 day during pre-orders.

I think every site had a chance for 20% off for one day until releasedate, but I need to check what deals sales gave before I can be sure.

I have to admit I am a bit disappointed too. Didn't notice any deals at Gamersgate and I bought it at full price immediatly at launch. Now there's -20 % at Steam at the very first day. :(

Never seen "screw you fanboys" like this before.

Usually I'm not the kind of person who complains too much, but I second this quote. For most of us 4-6 €/$ don't really make the difference, but seeing a new game discounted immediately after release makes a bad impression on me. It's the kind of thing that next time (aka: V2AHD) will make me think twice before pre-ordering.

The original idea was that it should be 20% off at releasedate and as pre-orders, but that didnt work out everywhere, and not everyone could release the game at the same time, nor could they do the 20% off things either.
