I know now the Hand of the King title is automatically granted to the castellan of any king, but I'd kinda like it to be possible to just give it to anyone for RP purposes... Orys does not have a high stewardship needed (besides, he is often a better marshall than Aegon's sisters, so he doesn't qualify for the post in the first place), but like I said, for roleplay purposes I would like Orys to be the first Hand. Could this not be implemented?

Then just give him the damn title regardless of his qualifications ;)

A minor title would also be possible but I don't really see the point. If you want the person that is suited best to be the hand then pick that one. If you want to have a friend as the hand than pick him -.-
It's not as if having good chancellor is over-the-top important.

I guess that's your view on things.

The AI do not. it's weird seeing Robert picking Tywin for example, or Aegon picking some steward he barely knows of

Hand of the King is such a prestigious title that a honorary title wouldn't give the position justice.
But the fact that you purely need stewardship for it just seems off. I'm sure Orys or Ned were great Hands, while not being extremely gifted at being stewards.

So maybe a minor decision that you can turn on and off would be cool, only the player would be able to use it. Turning it on would remove the Hand title of a King's castellan and makes it freely awardable. Turning it off would put it back to the castellan.
