well. i too join the list of unfortunates. serial number already registered. I see where i went wrong in the installation, ie didnt have the net connected at the time, but still i think this is crap. luckily its the weekend so id still have time to play and wait for help WRONG there is no help on the weekend. HMMM. i think its rubbish if you cancel the first opportunity to put in an email and key it stuffs the game cause it says you can do it later. yeah maybe 2 days later after 7hrs of surfing the net looking for non existing help. i think this game will be returned by lunch time MONDAY with as much bad publicity as i can portray. This is obviously not a small 1 off issue and its not an email typo.

sorry to hear you have had problems registering the game.
If you don't have the internet available when installing, then the game prompts for e-mail and registration key when launching. I suppose this is what happened to you? And at this point it said that the key is already in use with a perfectly valid new key?
I have not yet seen this kind of problem that would NOT be caused by the fact that e-mail is mistyped and the problem occurs when patching the game (using the "right" e-mail). But since it must be the case (because you haven't been able to play the game at all), you should contact Stardock support and they will probably be able to help you:

It is probably a good idea to provide the key that you used to Stardock support just to make sure that it isn't already used because of some mistake.
