It's fine that there are service records for my pilots, telling me stats about them, but what I would really like is the same thing for my MECHS.
How long in service
Mech Kills
Other Kills
Missions
Preferred Pilot (Pilot with the most missions on it)
and so on.

Another service record entry for the pilots would then be "Preferred Mech".

Maybe there are other interesting entries for Mechs, like, "Preferred biome", but it doesn't have to be overdone.

OH YES!

A hundred times yes.

“Save the Metal, Kill the Meat.”

But then we only keep track of Meat Records?

Yes, let’s rack, stack and compare BattleMech Service Records. Yes, it would be a heavy expenditure of HBS and BATTLETECH’s finite resources but Kills and Missions are already being tracked, so the mechanisms are in there, their data would now need to be tabulated across Mechs and MechWarriors rather than just MechWarriors.

From your keystroke, Good @Jolly Joker to @HBS_RedMenace ‘s computer screen. (Oh and Ryan, any chance you’re the BATTLETECH Live Support Team Lead?)

Hmm, you could probably even compile the stats of player careers for some kind of general statistics, like:
1000 careers, BattleMechs with most missions:
Centurion CN9-A: xxxxxx missions

Might be interesting to compare.

Never thought about this but yeah, I'm onboard.

In fact, and this is an odd thing, I'd rather have a service record for my mechs than for my warriors. :)

Kill the Meat, Take the Metal!

Hundreds of Years some of these BattleMechs have been in Service... while it is on the far out on the outlier side, an algorithm that would give some Pre-BATTLETECH Stats as well as Player-related Mech Stats would be Uber-immersive.

Kill the Meat, Take the Metal!
It's "Kill the meat, save the metal". Or, if you want the full quote: "Aim for the cockpit, kid. Kill the meat, save the metal". It's from MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries.

It's a riff off the blurb on the back cover of BattleTech, 2nd edition: "In the 30th century, life is cheap, but BattleMechs aren't."

Admittedly I should have written it, “Leave the Meat, take the Metal.”
It’s a riff on “Leave the Gun, take the Cannoli.” : )
