Setting screen resolution

This is probably simple but:
Running on my laptop (max res 800x600) the game comes up in 1024x768. When I run setup the resolution drop box contains only that choice.
Will the game run in 800x600? If yes, how do I select it?

I think 1024 is the lowest res.

I get a partial view of the screen that scrolls with the mouse - I guess I'll just have to put up with that on the laptop. I guessed that was the case. Thanks.

You could try fooling around with the compatability modes.
Also do you have a virtual desktop size resolution set in your properties, that may effect it as well.
