Setting up 3 computers at home

I would like to set up 3 computers all at my house, but am at best a raw novice at networking stuff. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how this can be done. Assume that this little network will not be connected to the outside world, it will be totally self contained. What other hardware will I need any recommendations.

well all you really need is a 4 port hub, 3 cables and of course 3 cards - windows should detect all the computers once you get it all set up and into the game - if not you might need to play around with the IPs.

all u need is 3 network cards and maybe 1 HUB + enough cable- RJ-45 or Coaxial,
coax is better if u need cover longer distances.
