3 times now this has happened to me. I'm right next door to Helvettia. They have colonized the province north of them and I have Vindelicia, just east of them. The barbarian hordes move south east rather than south. The aholes come to me get promptly defeated and beaten within an inch of their lives, so the jokers go back from whence they came. Unfortunatelly, at this proint the Hellvetians, being the dicks that we all know they truly were, offer to settle them.

Guess what happens?

No, really, guess?

Ok, fine I'll tell ya, they get settled in my Vindilicia. Dropping my civilization 10% or so and increasing my population there.

How can the Hellvetians settle a bunch of barbarians in my province? Twice now, I've had the province go back to Roman/Roman and 3 times its gone West Germanic/Roman. But at least the hordes had 40 units so it increased my freemen in the province. Still, I know this is not WAD.

Oh, in case anyone wants to know, it is reproducable and I do have a save, I just don't know where, because Vista is being, spastic fantastic.

This is going to be difficult to reproduce but I will mention it.

Actually, its very easy to reproduce. If I can get my hands on my save game, a Vista problem. Anyways, I controll all of Rome except for Rome and 1 other province, so when the Barbarian Hode comes south, it will take Rome, then it will move south and then Rome makes a deal with them and they settle in my province, dropping my civ rating in the province. If you can tell me how to get to my save game, I'll send it to you. :D

Try searching for the name of the file, remembering to include hidden and system folders.
