I got injured during a hunt some 6-7 years ago and my guy has yet recovered. And yes, I do have a (excellent) Court Physician and I've had him since before I was injured. I never got any event post injury (like you sometimes do with your physician where you can ask them to be cautious or brave) either. Will I ever recover?

Since there is a new DLC and everything I always worry about there being bugs in the game, like how the physician wasnt present during the hunt and therefore "dont know" I'm injured and the game has simply forgot about it. But I'm almost certain a wound can heal by itself even if you dont have a Court Physician, so I'm not sure.

This has been an issue for me before the DLC where injuries never heal, I don't know if it's a bug or it's intended for injuries to last for decades.

iirc the recovery events are mtth, which was really common in ck2 and is rarely used in ck3. it kinda feels like its straight up broken bc, as youve noted, the random timespan can be decades. mtth in ck2 could have you sitting on 500% plot power for a murder and not see the event fire for like 15-20 years bc you just rolled unlucky that many times (based on personal experience lmao)

im probably saying it wrong and theres a different name for the thing im talking about but i think this is what the issue is. ck3 has made a lot of mechanics significantly more structured and predictable, so when one of these older-style things comes along it feels out of place. am i making sense AT all?

So I've been playing for a while now and I've been Severly Injured for about 20 years. I also replaced my Court Physician through the search function and just a moment after I got the event that can "ease the injury". I dont think this is a MTTH thing, I just think its a bug, the game knows Im sick but there is something not working with the code to heal from the injury.

The worse your injury is, the lower the chance and longer the time for there to be a check to reduce the severity.

As you have seen, this basically means you are doomed for bad injuries.
