sfx suddenly stops working

Everything was running fine for a month, but suddenly the sfx decides to stop working in the game.

In the GFX/sfx folders the .wav files are there and those are fine.

Any suggestions, or shall I just uninstall and reinstall?

Is the volume in game and in your system turned up?

The music works, I can hear Ride of the Valkyries as I load it and everything else.

Volume is maxed out on both.

Just sfx not working.

Sound effects has it's own volume control under the options menu ingame. So hearing the music would not rule out that volume being set too low.

Also what Sound card and system specs do you have?

Fixed it,

turns out the sfx folder (somehow) made its way to the wrong place.
