Here it is. Part one of my Shanqing Tianguo AAR that was requested by a bunch of people. Hope you enjoy it. The AAR starts in next post below this one.

This will be a humorous AAR for the most part. My other aar, which can be found here was an attempt at being serious, and I think it worked out well. So, if you enjoyed my Commune of France AAR, then I think you may enjoy my Shanqing Tianguo AAR. Enjoy!

RISE OF THE MIDDLE KINGDOM: A SHANGQING TIANGUO AAR:

shanqingtianguo1936.jpg

PART ONE: ITS CHINA'S TIME TO SHINE, SO SCREW THE REST OF THE WORLD!

scabinent.jpg

This is the current government of the Shangqing Tianguo. Comprised of so called "International Terrorists", these brave men and woman in government have made a solemn pledge to liberate all of the Middle Kingdom from the evil imperialist Germans and their lackey the Qing Empire. So they're the good kind of terrorists.

Research of the day:

tech1936basicmachinetoo.jpg

Our leader Zhang Tianran has decided that science is for suckas, and has thus decided to put research at the lowest priority. Because of this, all he could get to work on the industrial sector of the nation and hopefully improve it was a quack named Deng Xiaoping, who has been known to con governments out of their hard earned cash.

Under the command of General Zhu De, these infantry divisions are the most skilled soldiers who have ever been enlisted into the Millenarian Movement Army, who is mostly comprised of useless peasants who can't shoot squat. Hopefully, under General Zhu De's command, The Millenarian Movement Army can prevail.

After a long march through the mountains of Western China, The Millenarian Movement Army has reached the border of the Yunnan Clique, who are mortal enemies of Shangqing Tianguo. Great Leader Zhang Tianran needs the people's help. Should the Middle Kingdom go to war with the Yunnan Clique wimps or wait and see if the Yunnan Clique army will strike first?

I'm in, and to answer the question of our leader I say wait and see. Our ennemies are divided, we just have to wait for the right opportunity to strike.

I will take that into consideration. Most games I've played as Shangqing Tianguo involve early annexation of the local warlords. However, I will wait and see how the situation develops before sending the fanatical peasants into battle.

If you think that you can win the war quickly then you should launch an invasion, but Yunnan may take a while to conquer due to the terrain if nothing else and leaving your homeland undefended for any period of time would be unwise.

He also has to consider about the Qing is that they have events for the peaceful unification of China. If they start getting these events, they will become a massive threat VERY quickly and you will stand no chance against them.

Can't wait for more fun, and the humorous idea sounds promising as I deeply enjoyed the first update.

True, that's my main worry. The KR event chains are designed to provoke a war between the Shangqing and Qing sooner or later, depending on what choice the AI makes you may want to take them out ASAP before they can become a monster.

After careful consideration our supreme ruler decided that taking over the Yunnan Clique before they became too powerful was of utmost importance.

And so, on February 24, the determined Millenarian Movement Army crossed the Shangqing Tianguo-Yunnan Clique border and soon the first wave of Shangqing forces were engaging the primitive and under equipped Yunnan Army.

In only nine hours, the entire Yunnan border was completely overrun, and soon the fanatical peasants of Shangqing were reorganizing and rearming for a second assault. This so called "People's Army of Yunnan" fight like British Pig Dogs in Weltkrieg.

Soon the flag of Shangqing Tianguo was flying high over the occupied border regions. "Excellent..." Our Great Leader Zhang could be heard saying in his office, cupping his hands together and smiling sinisterly like Mr. Burns...In Shangqing Tianguo fourth wall break you!

After a month of pillaging and burning, the Millenarian Movement Army reached the outskirts of the capital. Victory is nigh.

peaceisforlosers.jpg

Desperate to save the nation, the leaders of Yunnan Clique met in the capital of Shangqing Tiaguo. Of course, everyone knows that peace is for losers, so instead of ending hostilities between our people and theirs, our great leader simply had the Yunnan leaders arrested on the spot and used as leverage to break the will of the enemy. So much for diplomacy, but were national POPULIST. If its popular, then you might as well screw differing opinions and do it anyway...cause its IN and other opinions are OUT.

thefinalstrike.jpg

In no time the capital was occupied and the last remnants of the Yunnan "Army" had withdrawn to the province of Baoshan. The Millenarian Movement Army instead of having to deal with a direct engagement, simply used artillery stolen from those retreating British Pig Doggies during the '25 British Revolution, and soon the entire Yunnan Army and their surviving leaders were no more.

War. War never changes...Especially for the French. Those Frenchie Dirt Naked Mole Rats soldiers always surrender in every war, especially during the Weltkrieg.

Their really wasn't a peace treaty because all the government leaders were in jail or om exile so our Great Leader just claimed the entire country for himself.

Now, The Great Leader Zhang calls upon you to give feedback once more. Where should the Millenarian Movement Army head. Should we strike at Burma and gain access to the sea and the rich oil deposits located their, occupy the weak nation of Tibet, or strike at the warlord state of Xibei San Ma, up north?

Nice job so far, I had no doubt you'd kick ass! Also, I can see Zhanq Tianran having some correlations with Mr. Burns, like his closest worker being his lover (Tianran's wife in this instance, Smithers with Mr. Burns.)

Also, congrats on getting a new teach team! :)

Oh, and invade Tibet or Xibei San Ma, unify as much as China as you can against the Qing!

Uhm, you should have attacked the Qing at the very beginning when they were still weak... Maybe you are still in time...

Do Burma and Xibei at the same time, then smash Tibet and Nepal.

if you can, IMHO, this is the best option! if not i suggest you to defeat Xibei first then expand southwards..
anyway great aar, i enjoyed it!
keep on writing!

shoulda fragged the Qing outta the starting gate. You get some tasty model II mil IIRC when you capture certain provs and gain cores at the same time. Makes a zerg rush totally worth it.

That said though, invading and occupying Bengal and Princely might prove interesting if you catch them with their pants around their ankles before their events fire. Could give you plenty of NIIIICE IC :D
