It would require quite a few events to railroad history, I'm not sure people would like it in vanilla. A lot of people already dislike the event with partitioning Burgundy.
Then add Styria and don't railroad? I personally hate that Austria (and to some extent Bohemia) is this powerful at game start.
Austria (and also Moravia and Silesia) was easily conquered by Hungary in the second half of the 15th century, yet ingame that's totally impossible (AI vs AI). Even worse, it happens the other way around most of the time.
We have multiple start dates. If I start in 1444, I want to have a historical starting situation for that time.
If I want to have a strong Austria in the game, there are all the start dates from sometime in the 16th century, where they are among the top powers. In the 15th century they were very far from that, Hungary was the dominant power in the region.
My dream is to have as few railroading in EU4 as possible, with as accurate starting situations as possible.
To be able to choose a fix point in history where I can start my game, and see how this alternative history turns out with my lead.
Obviously I would get rid of the Burgundian Inharitance event for good. No place for it in the game in it's current form. But that's just one example for the same thing.
