Has anyone seen Sicily become an Independent nation in the GC or anywhere in the game. I think they can be, but I have played many games and I have never seen this. Would it be possible to play as them in the GC. I would like to know begin a proud Italian-American. Thanks

Yes, I have seen them become independent, twice, I think. And I do think you can play them in the GC as well.

Yes, I've seen Sicily become independent on a number of occasions. Once, they even managed to conquer almost half of Italy. You can only play countries at the start of a scenario, if they exist then, and I don't think that Sicily does in any of the scenarios. However, you could make your own scenario in which Sicily is an independent nation.

I've seen Sicily become an independant nation also.

Seen it too. Few times even. With some editing u can make them playable from the start. Not a bad idea actually. Could be very fun.

Il Siciliano, cosi...

Lately I play Naples in EU because my family is from Bari, near Taranto; I am a fourth-generation American.

My advice on playing Sicily is that you download the Kampen om Italien scenario and replace one of its original Majors with Sicily.

If you need me to change the files, email me and we can discuss the specifics, such as what version of EU you're playing, etc.

Yes im part sicilian. I believe im 4th generation. Anyway how do u get to play as them though. I tried editing the files and put them on the list of countries, but i got some sort of fatal error. Also with that Kampen om Italien, i cant play that because isnt it in Swedish. But still thanks for the help its good to see a fellow paisan!

You can use scenarios created in other languages. Just be careful that when you download the scenario is doesn't replace your text file with the Swedish version.
