Slaves as 'rivals'

I think it would be awesome if slaves could be implemented like dragons are but in the rivals tab. Just a suggestion.

Also should I inherit my father's slaves? Playing as the Magister of Myr when I died and was no longer Magister I didn't seem to inherit the slaves that my father had is this WAD?

Hmm, that could work, but considering the number of slaves one can have it would probably be too confusing. Plus we dont want every slave to have a -100 opinion malus with their master no matter what.

Slaves should definitely be inherited though, do you have a save from when that happened? Preferably whe the Magister was still alive? Thanks.

Oh right so being a 'rival' they automatically have to have an opinion malus. You couldn't offset it could you?

Unfortunately no I don't have a save it's been a fair few years since then.

Of course you could offset that, at least for the slave. Right now slaves have a -10 opinion about their master, that could be changed to +90, to make them -10 total. Obviously this could arise problems, I recall turncloaks of the Nights Watchs having a terrible opinion of each other because they were still Brothers of the Nights Watch.

Yeah I can see that there may be issues trying to implement that. The main reason I thought of that would be to find your slaves really easily because I usually go to my court and then order by lowest 'rank' but often there are normal courtiers who are lower than my slaves.

Does make sense, especially if they're skilled. As abominable as the practise generally is, some people managed to go pretty far by impressing their masters with some talent or another.
