I'm experining a slight graphical corruption/glitch on the destroyer, battleship, cruiser, and battlecruiser sprites or whatever after installing Armageddon.

Link below provides a screenshot of the aforementioned glitch.

Technical Info follows -

Windows XP SP2
AMD Athlon 4400+ XP2
GeForce 7800 GTX w/ 256 VRAM
2 GB RAM
Direct X 9.0c
Smoking PIle of Machinery 2.0

Any help would be appreciated!

Where do you see it?

The ship spirates are discoloured. Same for the interceptor/fighter sprite.

If you look closely the BB's smokestacks are topped with blue, and the cruiser/battlecruiser with red. The ships themselves are a grainy white/gray color instead of being solid gray.

Try to update your graphics drivers, if that don't help, reinstall the game.
Here you may find the drivers. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_162.18.html

Installed DD into a new location, then installed armageddon and 1.1 patch.

Still shows the same funky sprite colors.

Bit of a loss what to try next.

Do you have the same problem with other games?

I have run out of ideas
You'll have to wait until a paradox guy comes and help you.

I have the same problem, naval units and fighters are garbled. Bombers/tanks/infantry are ok.

edit:
WinXP Pro sp2
msi geforce gto 7900 w. 1024mb
Intel core 2 6400
logitech mouse&keyb
1GB Ram
DX9.0c

The bugged sprites is a known problem in Armageddon. It can be solved by installing CDCP mod. Which fixes this problem, or as mentioned above installing a graphics mod like Bebro's sprites will also solve it. Link to CDCP mod is in my signature below.

It has nothing to do with any hardware or software malfunctions. The problem is bugged palette files in armageddon.

The CDCP only solves some of the palette issues however several remain unaddressed by v0.34

Specifically I already fixed T-FIGHTER C-USA L-1.bmp and T-FIGHTER C-GER L-1.bmp on my comp by grabbing the vanilla HoI2 (original, not DD) files. I already spotted several others palettes for which it appears I will have to do the same.

Palette files from the original DD (only ships and airplanes):

http://www.biges.eu/misc/palette.7z

Unpack it into \gfx\palette\ subdirectory of your HoI2 folder.

(Use 7-zip to unpack.)
