Hey, first time poster here. Not really good at this forum stuff but I was wondering
3A883349D27D3F51F0D0F2F015BDF7C0B84BE2D9

They're curbstomping everyone in Westeros, could anyone please help me?

Do they just invade Westeros, or do they move on Essos? I kind have a good thing over there as Emperor of Ghiscar.

I ran my game for a while in observer mode after I died, and they seem to be confined to Westeros. They don't seem to be able to cross water, so the Arbor, Dragonstone, and the Iron Isles all ended up being safe.

Does anyone know if I can defeat them with my Dragons? My character, his sister-wife, and three of his children are all dragon riders.

Currently there is no way for people that aren't the Night's Watch to defeat them but in the next version that has been fixed as well as numerous other White Walker issues.

Can we turn them off until a hotfix arrives?

Yep as Blackninja said, just delete cold_winds_rising.txt from the events folder. As has been said, they've been fixed for the next version.

The general idea is though that you need to be vigilant in order to do it. While they are still Beyond the Wall, they are beatable. Once they are as far south as Winterfell, you will probably need allies and you will need to act right now to still stand a chance. If you fail to notice them until they are at the Neck, then at the very least you will need every remaining Lord in Westeros to just hold them. So just like in the lore, you ignore the Nights Watch and their calls for aid at your own peril.

There is no way at all to defeat them except as the Night's Watch? What does that mean? Is it just in practical terms - they get too big an army once they get this far south?

In the current version only the Nights Watch or a Stark in Winterfell can declare war on them at all. That has been fixed for the next version.

But yes it's a practicle thing. By the time they get as far south as the Neck they have hundreds of thousands of troops, whereas while they are still Beyond the Wall they max out at somehwhere around 20k, so if you plan on stopping them, you do it there, the early the better.
However the southerners get no notification that this is happening, you're notification is the Nights Watch calling for aid, either because they are fighting an offensive war or because they are being curb stomped.
So if you get a "Nights Watch calls for aid" event and you just ignore it completely or if you just completely disregard the far northern lands, then in a few years you may find an unstoppable army of wights knocking on your door, and it will be your own fault.
