All of a suddent Paradox is going it alone on this one and the game went from "when its done" to "Going Gold Soon!"

I don't think anyone outside of Paradox knows the details, but it would seem that sometime last summer Paradox brought the game development to an in-house team because work wasn't progressing fast enough with Snowball. According to Johan, the game is currently on it's third development team....

All of a sudden was relative.

After all, I had forgotten this forum existed until the Paradox crew said we could order the game direct from Sweden.

I just assumed this game was vaporware and moved on.

So I come back to this forum and everyone is quiet about Snowball and acting like they never existed.

Sort of like Johan killed Sergei and keeps his corpse in the closet; even though we can all smell the rotting putrid body, no one comments on it for fear Johan might want to add to his collection...

Not that I'm implying anything...

We can't give you any details covered by NDA, but basically a while ago the partnership between Paradox and Snowball ended and each one is now producing a game on the Crusader Kings idea. And, as you can see from the screenshots, a lot of progress is now being made by Paradox on Crusader Kings.

There is only one CK and Paradox is making it. Snowball is making a game similar to CK.

From what I understand, Snowball's game (if it's ever completed ) will be focusing more on the RPG aspect than Paradox's.
