well you are in the CORE forum so we aren't about to say HSR, but seriously core is an excellent expansion of the game.
The upcoming release is going to be even better... We're in the final stages of the beta as of now, so hopefully we're able to release pretty soon. 
In any case you can try out CORE without affecting your regular DD setup -we're using the moddir option, so there's no ill side-effects from trying it out (apart from getting totally hooked that is ). Hopefully we can release the manual for 0.30 pretty soon (yes, we actually have one!), in order to explain the philosophy and focus of CORE. In short: being as historical as possible, cover ahistoric plausible alternatives, and cover the world. That implies completely new tech trees, ranges of new models, loads and loads of events (Munich alone is 200+).
