I posted this in Bug Reports but was told I should try posting here.
Essentially there are a few instances where name text is getting really messed up. This happens in any game, any start date, using mods, not using mods etc. Two notable ones are the counties of Epeiros and Arta in Kingdom of Epirus, both get significantly distorted including weird fractional number characters. Another one is some Pecheneg names get very badly corrupted, and for example if a Pecheneg nomad Khagan has one of those names, it also corrupts the name of the title he holds as well (even though if you say, kill him and he is replaced with a non-jarbled name Khagan, the title name will correct to its proper display but the Khagan's name never does.) When I look at the name in the save files it generally just show something like this:
Khagan Blr 'the Conqueror'
I've tried a few search terms on the forums to see if anyone else has this issue but I think maybe "bad text" or "bad strings" or "messed up text" either aren't good enough search terms or I'm the first person who has reported/had this issue.
