I was playing as Germany, and a few odd things happened...

1 ) My mountain divisions had - 40 efficiency when attacking in mountains. Same as regular infantery. This kinda defeats the purpose of investing in mountainers.... Checking the savegame, mountainers did in fact have the same terrain modifiers as infantery.

( On a side note, it would be cool if mountainers got some better defensive modifiers in mountains, to seperate them from other units in defense as well as offense in mountains )

2 ) Under a Commando General, mountainers got -5 % AND + 10 % efficiency for that trait. Which seems odd.

3 ) I don't like that Research_Sabotaged thing. It is really annoying, but normally not too harmful. However, coupled with essential technologies that take 4 years to research, disaster is possible.

In 1940, I got an event that increased research time for one of the golden electronics from 192 days left to 1400 days left. ( Starting from scratch, that tech is supposed to take approx 1200 days ). This would effectively prevent me from getting electronics tech for the rest of game.

... and reading from the stats, it appears that infantery is better than the early tank divisions. And that Super AI have kept the unfortunate idea of having mechanized infantery avaible too early and being better than panzer.

#1 stats do not show up on combat display but since 106 mountain troops do attack better in mountains.

#2 is a 106 issue

upgrade to 1.1 mech shows up later

Noted, and good point will get this in 1.2 patch

This can be done and again good point.

1.06 issue and no way for me to fix it.

Play normal difficulty when the event pops up. The HARD CORE event is noted as an issue and if you read the 1.2 notes on the website it will be addressed for the next patch.

Same issue as the one above.

Patch 1.1 moved mech infantry to far later in the game and had the armor tech tree moved around a bit for historical accuracy of armor incoming.

The weather was insane on the Eastern front in the summer of '40.

It could be a coincidence, but I've never seen anything like that in the other games I've played....

From Juni to early august there were an average of 5-7 storms. At most I counted 10. + Loads of rain.

I'd like to confirm this from my own experience.

As we all know, early war tanks were extremely effective when used intelligently and in force, because early war infantry were very weak on anti-tank weapons. Anything that could withstand machine-gun fire had protection that meant something.

Finding it hard to believe the figures I was seeing in this mod, I performed a test. I massed five German Panzer divisions (PZ2s and Czech 35s) under Manstein and struck at a clear-terrain province with no negative factors to impede me (no river, no rain, etc.). They hit four Polish infantry divisions, and started to die. Having lost half my strength, and inflicted next to no damage, I retreated. Now I needed to replace my losses. But reinforcement of high-IC units is *extremely* expensive!

My airforce was giving me about the same story: too weak to have anything more than a marginal effect on the battlefield, and too expensive to keep up to strength. I was, in short, looking at an infantry slugfest.
