Description:
Dear community,

I am a stellaris player who used to utilise the paradox version of stellaris where I had all the expansions mentioned above. I recently switched to the steam version because I thought it would be more convenient for mods, updates, etc. A second reason is because my stellaris stopped updating and got stuck on Cepheus 3.4.5.

I then installed the steam version of stellaris while the paradox version was still installed as I didn't want to lose my DLCs and when I tried to launch it, some of them were gone. I had a total of 21 on paradox and only 12 on steam (see attachements). As you can also see, some of the DLC couldn't be verified by the paradox version when I installed the steam version. The game would still run and I installed some mods which I played with but I never got my DLCs back. My steam and steam stellaris were fully updated.

I contacted support and a very kind person instructed me to update my steam link, do a manual clean reinstall, search for the DLCs in steam (not present) which resets memory and then do another clean reinstall and lastly told me to activate and deactivate a previous beta version of steam which updates my app and then do another clean reinstall of the game. All of the mentioned steps had no effect on the number of DLCs that my steam game shows. I also deleted mods I had installed during this process. They redirected me to the forum for possible further help.

I would like to keep playing on the steam version if possible.

I would deeply appreciate any help.

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Maxou

Solution
If you bought these DLCs from the Paradox store, as is likely, they will not automatically appear in Steam. You need to redeem the Steam Keys we sent you into your Steam account for them to be there.

Just paste your Steam Activation code AAAAA-BBBBB-CCCCC (which we sent to your email, and is in your Paradox Games menu) into the +Add a Game area of the Steam client application, and the game will be available in your Steam Library in that Client to download and install. You can also do this directly on the Steam website

All the best!
