So, with the the support going away for the foreseeable future and upon seeing that it hasn't been fixed, I decided that I'd try my hand at modding it myself... and stumbled at the very first obstacle.

See, in 2.0 they made some changes to Tibet: they dropped in some wasteland that's supposed to separate them from India proper. Cool, that stops Maurya from just rolling up and stomping my mudhuts in until my enlightened republic is ready to dispatch legions of elephants and heavy infantry. I'm going to chalk this up as a good idea that was badly implemented, because they dropped those wastelands in between territories in the same province, which just means that there are 4 territories that are essentially impossible to get without claiming all the land around them, which both makes the generic missions stupidly difficult to complete and all but guarantees that you're always going to be at war with Maurya, because they can go to war for land they might not even be able to claim because of the wasteland seperating the territories.

So, my idea was to take those 4 territories and just shove them into the nearest provinces that fit. The problem is, I don't know how to do this. The only thing I can kind of see working is moving the territory into a region, but I'm not sure how to make sure it would end up in the right province. Can anybody shed some light?

You are talking about the territories of Terai (id 5573), Tsongdu (id 5584), Chomolangma (id 5587) and Paro Kerchu (id 5628)?

You should create your own mod and go to the /map_data folder and look for the areas file.
- Move 5573 (Terai) from zhangzhung_area to ahicchatra_area
- Move 5584 (Tsongdu) from jangtang_area to malla_area
- Move 5587 (Chomolangma) from chomolangma_area to vrji_area
- Move 5628 (Paro Kerchu) from tsang_area into vrji_area

Make sure you remove the original references.
That should work. If it is a great solution, I do not know.

You are more likely to get help in the modding subforum:

Yeah, that was one of those "oh, why did I notice that was there exactly 10 seconds after I posted?" moments. And then I stayed away for a day of shame.

You, sir/madam, are a gem. That worked exactly as it was supposed to.
