OK, I've been playing for a couple of weeks now and don't understand a couple of things (so far). I would be grateful for any advice you can give on the following:

1. How does population growth work? I've checked how growth is calculated, but some times, it shows, say, 10%. But, when you add up the various factors involved, it should be 11%. What happened?

2. Also population growth. If it says 10% growth, then I would expect to get 10 new people for every 100 people each year. However, that never happens, growth is much lower. So, how does it work?

3. Running the economy. I never like to take a monthly income in order to keep inflation down. However, even using the 'lock' button for income, the amount continually changes (anywhere between +/- 20) depending on my actual income. How can I keep my monthly income static at -0.5?

All in all, this is a quite excellant game and I'm spending much too much time playing it. What day is it anyway?:D

Hu ? Never saw that myself. A bug perhaps ?

The % is over a 10 year period.
Thus AFAIK you get 10/120 = 0,0833 % pop increase per month if pop increase is 10%.

It's when you put an investment into stability increase. When (if) you reach stab +3 the invstment goes to the treasury, even if it's 'locked'. I myself am a bit annoyed about this btw =)
IMO it should be transferred to 'non locked' tech reserach instead.

Thanks Huszics.

1. Thanks anyway.

2. All clear now.

3. Yes I would expect any fluctuation to take place in the 'non locked' areas. That is what most games do. Perhaps something for a future patch?

BTW, your FAQ has been really helpful.

Right back to the game.
