Some things concerning Britain

Hi, while I am a longtime lurker on the forums, I almost never say something, but here is a try.

I have some questions around Britain. I know that you can create 'the British Empire' instead of the Empire of Britannia, but it still doesn't feel right for me. So here are my questions:

- can I manually change or is there a submod the changes the empire tier title of the British Empire or the Empire of Brittannia to 'The United Kingdoms of Brittannia'?
- the same question but then if it is possible to change the kingdom title 'kingdom of Wales' to the 'Principality of Wales'?

So to be clear, I want to keep the tiers, however change the titles and names.

Is there a submod for any of this? To be fair, I have not seen any submods for CK2plus and as I don't play the game without this or another mod anymore, I would like to know if there is a hidden stash of submods somewhere

Oh and otherwise if it is possible to give your heir the Honorary title of Prince of Wales

The "Prince of Wales" thing isn't really historical for CK2's time period as far as I know. Also it shouldn't be a honorary title but a true landed title. And in fact, I commonly have one duchy I always pass on to my heir apparent, so it's already doable.

It is defined in CK2Plus files somewhere. I think landed titles file is where it is.

Download free grepwin utility so you can easily find it in a million files/lines.

The files you are looking for are under common/landed_titles. There are two files landed_titles contains kingdom tier and lower and CK2Plus_titles contains the empire tier titles.

To have something be called something else you need to have a condition for it. The only way I know how to do it is to use a culture. For example I have mine irish kingdom and empire changed to be called Éire if formed by an irish culture.

You can also see that at a kingdom level Ireland also has custom titles as seen with "title = HIGH_KING" So I assume you can use that at the empire level to have custom titles. Not sure how you would change the heir title or if how you can drop the 'empire' name that comes with all empire titles.

Edit: Also you might just be able to change what the title is called in localisation/0_titles file. Then under

e_britannia;British Empire;Empire Britannique;Britisches Kaiserreich;;British Empire;;;;;;;;x

Change the first British Empire; into whatever you want to to be called. This file determines what things are called in what language. The first slot is for english I believe.

Edit3: Also just remembered that if you own the customization pack DLC you can just rename your landed titles to whatever you want anyway.

What menu do you go to if you own the customization pack DLC to change your landed titles? Haven't really thought much about it but it'd be cool to mess around with a bit.

I don't think you can change those with the DLC. Only the name of your kingdom. It can be done on the screen where you can usurp/revoke and other such there is a little wrench? icon next to the name of the title.
As for changing from baron and king to something else the only way I know how is to do it on a title to title basis. Like in the example i posted above for the kingdom of Ireland.

title = HIGH_KING
title_female = HIGH_QUEEN

are the specific lines that you can add to the title with what you want to be called. irish example is High King and Queen.

Yeah after unsuccessfully trying to find a menu in game I ended up going in and changing it around that way...it's just a bit cumbersome to do and I imagine I will have to do it again after the game updates.

Would be a lot more handy if the devs actually released some content that would allow us to do it more easily without messing around with files.
