Hi

I was looking forward to hear some different audio, but sadly it turns out that when I bought the DLC a month or so ago, it actually never downloaded. Someone in the forum said there should be a dlc0003.zip in the dlc folder in the ck2 installation folder, but I only have dlc0002.zip (mongol faces) there. Additionally, the alternative coat of arms has no file, but I do have some files that could fit that dlc in my user folder.

My question is:
How to tell wether the alternate shields colors dlc actually is installed properly?
How to force ck2 to install the songs of albion properly.

for additional information see this forum thread:

No I have the GamersGate version.

As I said the dlc appears in the ingame shop as "you have bought this", as well as a checkmark in the launcher, and I remember having bought it.

OBviously none of those actually show if the dlc really works, so I was looking trough the files, and commented on something the guy who was helping me in regards to steam.

I installed nothing.

I went to the online shop clicked on all the things that i was entitled to (shield & faces) and then i bought the abliion

If you ask another question that I have already answered three times i will hate you, for your lazy script following ways!

As everything I write seems to be super optuse and hard to understand, I make a summary post so that you don't need to read my writing:

TL;dr: The damn songs of albion dlc files are missing, how do I get them.

I use Win7 64bit, 6 GB ram, a raid0 with 2 disks, and a gtx560 Ti nvidia graphic card

  1. I got my preorder CK2 from GamersGate
  2. It includes Mongolain Faces and Coat of Arms pack 1
  3. I installed CK2 went to the ingame shop and bought the albion songs
  4. I restarted CK2, and used it at least every three day for a month or so
  5. All my 3 DLC show up in the launcher (with checkmarks) as well as being marked "bought" in the ingame shop.
  6. I thought "hey I'm owning all GB-kingdoms, but there's no difference in sound played.
  7. I investigated, and someone in the forum told me there should be a dlc003.zip in a specific folder.
  8. I go to that folder, it's at the default path:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\dlc
the folder contains two files, dlc002.dlc and dlc002.zip, investigating the zip, I strongly suspect it's the mongolain faces
  9. Looking for the Coat of Arms stuff, I also went to my user folder, it's this path:
    C:\Users\REDAKTET\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\gfx\flags
It contains weird files that I assume are the coat of arms DLC.

Another user told me to uncheck the songs of albion in the launcher, start the game, then recheck and see if that forces a download. Not only does it nothing, the checkmark is back immediately when I relaunch the game. The GamersGate shop clearly and obviously states: "Note: DLCs for Crusader Kings II can only be purchased within the In-Game Store, inside the game."

Please advise how I can get the DLC that I bought.

Currently you are not just missing the Albion music but also the coat of arms pack as you should have three zip files in the DLC folder. Currently it seems you only have the mongol faces dlc installed. You don't have the song or coat of arms dlc's installed as they are missing from the dlc folder. Coat of arms should be dlc001.dlc and dlc001.zip. Song of Albion should be dlc003.dlc and dlc003.zip. Note that the coat of arms files in your my documents folder are no way linked to the dlc coat of arms.

There seems to be a fix in your earlier thread here is the link to the post. Do what he states if that doesn't fix both of those DLC's do the reinstall.

If that didn't help you need to reinstall. This includes you uninstalling the game and also deleting all the existing folders. Inluding the folder in your my documents folder just remember to move your save files to another location if you don't want them to be deleted. There is clearly something wrong if the game thinks you have them installed when you don't even have the files in the folder.
