I plan to create a new mod. The preliminary timeline will be 1419-1819, but I definitely plan to extend it in the future. I plan to feature many more events regading ethnicity, culture, and religion. Although there will be mainly historical events, there will be event chains that allow the player, or AI to go into, say, uncharted waters. I also plan to feature a new map. Just so nobody gets confused, this isn't a download thread. I'm just sort-of announcing 'Realitum Mundi'!

This is probably much too early to be either announcing or planning this mod, but here is a list of priorities:
1. Learn to build, and then build, a map.
2. Make historical events
3. Make flavour events

I have not made the map (I really haven't learned how to make a map!) but I have a great work ethic and a lot of drive to do this. If anyone could help me learn how to make a map, that would be fantastic! Also, this mod will feature A LOT more events featuring cultural makeup and population movements in history. For example, if there are Religious Wars going on in France, South Africa and the American East Coast will gain population from Hugeunot immigration.

I'm also not sure how to handle the natives of the Americas. There WILL NOT just be natives waiting to be wiped out. Besides, a population of 2000 on Long Island before Columbus is absurd. I'm thinking of making events like "Tensions between Colonists and the Wampanoag, Pequot, and Nipmuck tribes have reached their boiling point. What should we do?" And the choices could be Removal, Reservations, Colony Abandonment, and Extermination or something like that.

What do you all think?

Also, there are a couple different options on how to deal with North America natives:

A) There are no event for the native nations, the continent is divided up according to how it was when Europeans explored it,

B) Native nations are treated historically, i.e. Comanche splitting from Shoshone, Five New York tribes deciding whether to become Iroquois, etc.

Also, the continent after Europeans arrived could be dealed with two different ways:

A) Epidemics and other degenerative events occur only when European nations are bordering you, and when Europeans are bordering a nation you trade with, and when an explorer passes through. Also, when a Euro nation captures a native province, it could choose to Exterminate, Assimilate, Trade With, Put on reservation, or Remove.

B) All Historical events, but options to go ahistorical, i.e. 'Pequot Problem' event, where you could either, as England, instigate the Mystic Massacre, or stay peaceful.
