Small question regarding background music.

While playing EU I have no background music.
Music is MP3-files on the disc.
Do I need any software to play these files when gaming ?
Is this software included on the CD ?

Ordinary music-CD´s work on my system.
I´ve checked all sound installation. Nothing is turned off.
Nothing seems to be wrong.

Can anybody help ?

Regards

No Music

Definately a disappointment since so many previews had spoken of the great soundtrack.

I don't get any music, but do get the sound effects.

My system is: Asus P5A motherboard with AMD K6-2/555mhz processor, 256mb RAM, Windows 98SE, DirectX v8.0a, 9.4gb HD, 3dfx Voodoo3AGP video card, and Creative SB PCI512 sound card.

Suond almost working

I tried, as you suggested Patric, to play the MP3-files
directly from the CD and all 5 of them worked.
Still When I am in the game there is no background music.
But, and that is a big but,
when I am in the game I can go to :
Menu
Settings
Music-volume
Turn music of
Press OK

Go to :

Settings
Music-volume
Turn music on
Press OK
Back to game

This makes the first piece of music play,
but only the first piece !!
And only once.

If I want background music for approx. 2 min. I have to do this over again.

When I start up my game there is no music, not even if it is turned on in menu, settings, ....

Is there a solution to this problem ?

Regards

Malle,

I didn't mean the MP3s. They are just a bonus thing on the CD. You have to play the audio tracks in the CD player software in Windows to check this. If that doesn't work then you have some kind of hardware problem and that problem is most likely a missing cable between the sound card and the CD-rom drive.

Audioplayer

Ok
I played the disc in the audio-player and it worked.
8 tracks was found by the player.
The 2 first wouldn´t play. Audioplayer displays :
No data/No disc
the 3. lasts for 4 sek., plays, but I´m not able to hear any sound.
Track 4,5,6 I can hear without problems.
No. 7 lasts for 22 sek. Unable to hear.
No. 8 lasts for 39 min. and 47 sek. Unable to hear.

The cable between drive and soundcard IS mounted.

Little John,

If you are asking me, I really have no idea.
All I know is that I have no background music in my game.
I´m not a computer genius. I just bought a game.

Can one play the game from the audioplayer ?
I´ve never tried that before.

Patric,

Do you really mean I have a hardware problem when all my other applications, games etc. runs/plays without problems ?

How can it be that when I´m gaming I can go to menu/settings etc. and make 1 tune play, but only once ?

As former mentioned the cable between drive and card is not missing.

I have the danish version, update 1.08

My spec. are :
Acer P II, 266 Mhz
96 Mb ram
34 x drive
4,3 giga HD
Riva 32 Mb TNT ultra
Creative AWE 64 soundcard

Otherwise I have no problem with the game so far.

My music won't play either. WhenI try as an audio-CD the tracks play, but can not be heard.

Track numbers 2,4,5 and 6 are music tracks and should be playable with the CD player. You said that track 2 wasn't playable which to me indicates a faulty CD. Can you try that again?

Patric

Ok

I tried out the audio-player again and track no. 2
will not play. Audio-player displays ' No data/No CD. '

Track 4,5,6 are playable.

Anything else I can try ?

Patric,

I have to say that I tried the audio-player a few times more
and I found that if I wind track 2 just 1 sek. it will be played by the player.

Could it still be a faulty CD ?
