Introduction
This mod is based on the world from Amonthar's Warlord Trilogy novels.
The South Indies was until 1870 divided into the six dukedom states of Milama, Adlehyde, Centour, Epitaph, Timney, and Court Seim. The 1870 war to expel British and Dutch imperial rule forced the previously hostile normandean factions to unite against their common British and Dutch enemies. The aftermath of the war saw the South Indies united into a federation, with a common constitution, banking system, and military. The sixty years after 1870 were a long period of isolationism for the new federation. However, recent events in Europe and Asia present a new threat to the nation. The rise of the European Fascist dictatorships and Japan's expansionism in Asia and the pacific could shift the global balance of power in a way that the South Indies could have to join in the fight to preserve a civilized democratic order in the world. The great depression of 1930-32 saw a fall in demand for the country's manufactured products and a great rise in unemployment. A promising new charismatic leader, Knuti Flinn, has been elected who has introduced a set of economic reforms known as the "Flinn Doctrine", involving the creation of new state-run industries to create new jobs.
