Description​

The Soviet Right Opposition, when under AI control, will not help the POUM by taking any of the unique decisions enabled via their focus to support the POUM.

They will not send Volunteers or Lend-Lease to help either the POUM (Spanish Commune) or the Republic either. Nor will they (typically) take the Comintern focus branch path to support Spain in its Civil War.

The Left Opposition also ignores the Spanish Civil War as well.

This is true whether the main "SPR" tag goes with the Spanish Commune, or if instead, Spain takes its "Stalinist Doctrine" path and the Right Opposition replaces the Anarchists with the POUM via the relevant Right Opposition focus (so, the Right Opposition won't help the POUM even when it is in a war with Stalinist Spain and the Nationalists).

Further, other Communist ahistorical paths such as Union of Britain (Communist UK), Italian Republic (Communist or Socialist Italy), or Communist Bulgaria (which REQUIRES sending help to Spain in order to unlock an Air Force Chief) will ignore the Spanish Civil War and not help the Left in any way as well.

This holds true even if the Spanish Republic is defeated, and only the POUM remain in the war against the Spanish Right (see attached save: POUM vs. Spanish Directory, POUM on brink of defeat mainly due to lack of Communist help while the Spanish Directory received Italian volunteers...)

All Communist ahistorical paths need a Quality Control check to ensure they interact appropriately with the Spanish Civil War, and do not remain neutral when they would be expected to support one of the sides in it (particularly the POUM, or the Spanish Republic if they flip Communist).

By contrast, most ahistorical path Communist nations WILL send volunteers to help the north in a Second US Civil War (from the USA trying to flip Communist) immediately after their war starts, even though it is almost always still Democratic with >35% Communist support at this point in a game.

Steps to Reproduce​

Load ANY game where the USSR takes one of its Opposition paths.

The ahistorical Communist USSR will not help the Spanish Left in any way after completing the Soviet Civil War- neither sending volunteers again (earlier volunteers get pulled when the Soviet Civil War breaks out), nor taking any of the unique decisions available to the Right Opposition USSR to strengthen the POUM and help ensure their victory in the Spanish Civil War (decisions give the Spanish Commune free divisions and Stability/combat buffs/equipment), even if the Right Opposition takes the focus to unlock these decisions (which it often does).

Attached saves:

Right Opposition USSR and ALL other Communist nations ignoring POUM since game start (USSR has decisions to aid the POUM even before they spawn, by pre-deploying weapons depots) in "USA" save. Note that Belgium is going Communist in this save, and has not sent ANY help to Spain despite taking focus to do so.

Left Opposition USSR and ALL other Communist nations ignoring POUM since game start in "US-MEX MP" save, despite POUM now being the only remaining resistance against Fascist Spain. Note that no help was provided to the Spanish Republic either (by ANY Communist nations), before its defeat, other than the initial pre-Soviet Civil War volunteers from Stalin... Democratic France ALSO ignored the Republic and POUM, even after agreeing to send aid to Spain (via SPR focus tree focus to request French aid).

Worth noting, form tagging to Switzerland and fast-forwarding, Right Opposition Soviets do EVENTUALLY take their Focus to join the Spanish Civil War on the side of the Spanish Commune.

They never, ever take any of their decisions to provide support for the POUM (some as simple and cost-effective as spending 25 Political Power to give Spain two free divisions and a boatload of Political Power!!) however, making these decisions essentially useless/ignored in the hands of the AI- which is an obvious oversight/bug.

Worth noting this fast-forward also revealed the bug with the Right Opposition being locked out of forming its own Faction if enough of their leaders are purged by Stalin before the civil war/coup still hasn't been fixed. They got a Field Marshal as their country leader (with nothing but the "Stout Defender" trait- not bonuses!) and were unable to take OR bypass either "A New Theory of Revolution" or "Administrative Reforms" (one of which is necessary to form their own Faction).

The Right Opposition (eventually) joining the SCW on the side of the POUM didn't form a Faction with them, either- which I would have sworn it was supposed to do. And again, the main bug is the Right Opp never takes any of their unique decisions to aid the POUM against Stalinist Spain, never sends volunteers or Lend-Lease after defeating Stalin, and otherwise ignores the SCW entirely (only actually getting involved due to a later Focus they probably only took for War Support and Stability...)
