Space Elevator bugged?

Hey all,

I noticed that my Space Elevator's elevator pod that travels up and down the cable has disappeared. I've tried a whole bunch of things to get it back or unstuck or whatever. I've turned the Elevator off and on, the export forbidden and re-allowed, letting it break via maintainence and then fixing it, and exporting stuff in small bits. I quit game and restarted the game and reloaded the save (that did fix the broken drone headlight bug from a month ago). Nothing works.

The Elevator still is functional, though. It does export the rare metals and brings down stuff from orbit without that "vanished" elevator pod.

Is there any way to fix it and bring back the pod?

if it's just a visual glitch odds are it'll never be fixed. the game seems to be finished and it is unlikely that the devs will make any further updates except maybe to fix major bugs

Discovered the cause of the bug. If I save the game while the elevator platform is off the screen on its travel to / from orbit, the platform will disappear. So save / load when you have the platform at rest in the space elevator base, and bug is gone.

However, if you already have the bug and the platform has already disappeared, the only way to fix it is to destroy the space elevator and rebuild a new one in its place. Then make sure you DO NOT save while the platform is outside the base of the structure.
