Specs for CK

Which type of computer and OS will be necessary for CK ? Are the specs much different from EU2 ?
I really hope that I don't need to buy a new computer or install a new OS for CK.

Yup. For Medieval: Total War (mutually exclusive terms if you ask me)the system requirements are quite high. If CK has similar ones I'll finally have to buy an new computer.

The specs for MTW are high because of the 3-d battles, and other graphics, correct? CK should not have such demands.

Unless they will implement 3-d battles.

I think the requirements of CK will be along the lines of EU II maybe a bit higher.

It sounds as if RAM requirements will stay roughly the same while the processor ones go up.

That is pretty much what happened between EU1 & EU2, so I wouldn't be shocked if that was the case for CK too.

The specs are climbing somewhat due to all the mappish thingies, you will see it in full glory once we post the screens from Alpha. Most nice effects are specs-hungry .

I like the second part of this post. The first part would mean that I need to upgrade my processor, which is not good.

But if you only want to upgrade so you can reach the recommended config, then it can hardly be that expensive

Me too. Unless "minimal" means that you still can play it at a reasonable speed (whatever *that* means).
