I know people in several threads have been guessing what the secret projects are, so i'm trying to concentrate it in a single thread

So let's summarize quickly what we have:
-Three project are in the doing, one (Augustus) is in an more advanced state than the others (Tiberius and Titus)
-Augustus is not a sequel
-None are Rome II or Victoria III (said lately in a pdx interview)
-No Game of Thrones (for now...)
-By the people developing them (does anyone remember who they are?) we can assume these are strategy games
-Anyway paradox are known trolls, but all these points were said quite clearly, so it is improbable they were trolling (though not impossible)

So possible guesses for the games are:
- A pre-roman game
- A dark ages (fall of rome) game
- A space strategy
- A game about china, possibly the three kingdoms era or the warring states
- A fictional, maybe fantasy or alternate history strategy game

Most of these are not very probable, so I have a feeling we're missing something. My bet would be one space game (this would be so cool!) and another for dark ages or pre-roman. A third, I have no idea. Looking at how sengoku wasn't successful I don't believe we will have a chinese game, and fantasy, I just don't think so.

What do you guys think? What games are there going to be?

I'm guessing Augustus will be

◆A new Rome IP
◆Some other, historical G-St

One of the two other projects could be Victoria 3 in pre-production.

They probably always try to have a big name under development all time so Victoria 3 or/and a Rome game should be under development.

Augustus is likely to be a successor to Rome and may have started its development at the same time as HOI4 telling us it is a very big project, bigger then HOI4 which is their biggest known project ever.

Victoria need alot of time to get well so expect next Victoria game to have been in development for a long time.

I'm sort of afraid it will be a space game. This would probably the worst possible decision they could make, though.

I really wish they'd make a game that traces the origins of the great monotheistic religions in the West: basically Rome + early Christianity + early Islam.

Would be difficult to make this distinct from CK2, though.

Wrong, Augustus is not a sequel though. Doomdark is a developer for one of them.

It has been said here:

I watched that, and it never said that Victoria 3 was not explicitely in development/planned in the future projects, just that they currently had no champion.

That's the same thing they said here in the forum. Here they said that Vic doesn't have a champion that isn't busy with something else. That doesn't mean Vic can't be in early development.

Yes, exactly what I meant in the first place, and that video was his answer to that.

In a thread here they confirm that while there are kinda plans for new Vicky (in a form of a word document with ideas), no one is currently working on it.

@OP - since it's not a sequel, maybe the game will be called Europa Universalis: Carthage :)
Jokes aside, I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped the "Europa Universalis: Rome" name and created another one, that would represent the time period without having to use confusing title.

Actually, the whole "no sequels" thing is really weird thing. Technically, CK2 was not a sequel to CK1 - it was an interquel, since it's set during the same time period. It can also be said about every other "sequel", so if they really speak the truth about it not being a sequel, then it's either successor to EU Rome, or something that happens even earlier. Greece vs Greece vs Persia politics? Ancient Egyptians?

Thanks, but I have read that thread too (I read all of them here) and it still means nothing to what Vedinu and I said.

One of the 3 is clearly Rome II, and that's all that matters, that others can be anything I don't care.

But, if one of the other two is a Dark Age game, I would be very pleased. Attila TW seems a great game and setting even though I won't buy it likely because of the fantasy things always happening in those games. All I care is the campaign and Paradox has spoiled me too much...

They said they have no INTERNAL champion. So, Naselus as project lead confirmed?

I'm expecting one of the 3 to be a Dark Ages game for sure. Beyond that, Rome 2 and Vicky 3 are very likely, but EU:Rome doesn't have to be EU:Rome II and therefore it wouldn't be a sequel (it could be called Pax Romana or Imperium Romana or something along those lines) especially if they do Republic and Empire (which, granted is a long period), but

Rome -> Dark Ages -> CK2 -> EU4

The historical inaccuracy <3
