Not sure if it's a good idea to have mod threads cluttering up the primary forum (it seems) for people asking modding questions.

Yes please. Or introduce required prefixes: [Help] [Mod] [Request] etc etc. And ban people that use the wrong one. If you use [Mod] to get people to view your post it damn well better NOT be asking for help on how to do something or saying "I wish someone would do a "whatever" mod!
