Does anybody already know how the Training Module 1 really works?
The description says: "MechWarriors gain 20 Experience each day
MechWarriors with less than 10000 total Experience can benefit from this training".

So does "10000 total" mean unspend experience as it is shown in the barracks? Otherwise this module would not have any effect on the MechWarriors as you gain much more experience before even being able to build this module.

With regards to the training module I think it's mostly going to be useful for training replacements so that they're not hopelessly incompetent the first couple of times you take them out.
 
I wish we could see the total experience in the hiring hall. I will have to rely on something like 5/5/5/4 as a cut off point.
I think it is better to hire experienced warriors than to wait and pay recruits for about 18 month until they reach a level equivalent to just a handful of missions.
 
I love that the training module is a daily XP gain - how often have you seen people just letting time pass in the streams while they await repairs? 600 free XP/month isn't that bad for 400 C-bills/month. I was thinking Power Conduit Repair, then Structural Repair (not sure if I need to buy the jury rigging level of this first), then Training Module. There are definitely more interesting upgrades like Automation, but that one comes with a higher recurring cost, despite being 1/2 the up front cost.

If the math I have is still accurate (Excel based on pre-release beta info) then a pilot with all 5s in skills should have about 6400 XP. Bumping to a 6 in one skill puts that pilot near the max from the training pod.
 
The cost per month for the training module is negligible, but the MechWarrior salary... :confused:

I plan to invest in my meat....errr, pilots. Once I've played some missions I'll figure out if bumping skills fast is how I want to go about this :)
 
5600? for 4,4,4,4 (100+400+900)4. It seems likely that the pods will do nothing for your 4 primary pilots. Rushing for the second sim pod upgrade if it has a higher cap might be a thing though. You might also be content with training the B team.
