I tried create mod for robotic start but when i set sponsor trait to "Biorobot" colonists still remain humans. Is it bug or undocumented peculiarity?

You need to add the Positronic Brain Breakthrough to your Sponsor's starting techs, I think.
The Biorobot trait is a result of "colonists" being manufactured in the Drone Assembler after the Breakthrough tech The Positronic Brain has been researched.
You'd probably want to add a commander as well with the Drone Assembler tech as one of its' bonuses.

I think biorobot trait just locked, to prevent creation of infertile colony. But it also preventing biorobot start mod creation.
